News Corp: acquires OPIS for $1.150bn

(CercleFinance.com) - News Corp has reached an agreement to acquire the OPIS information service and related assets of S&P Global and IHS Markit.


News Corp is acquiring OPIS for 1.150 billion dollars in an all-cash transaction and also expects to receive an estimated 180 million dollars in tax benefits as part of the deal.

News Corp's acquisition of OPIS is subject to customary conditions, including regulatory approvals and the completion of the S&P Global and IHS Markit merger, which is expected in Q4 this year.
