Linde: set to produce green hydrogen in California

(CercleFinance.com) - Linde announced on Monday that it will begin producing green hydrogen at its Ontario, California site to meet the continued rise in demand in the region.


The industrial gas supplier, originally German and now based in the UK, said the locally produced hydrogen will meet the requirements of the California Air Resources Board (CARB), an agency responsible for promoting the use of clean energy in California's transportation sector.

Thanks to this project, Linde says it will be able to supply green hydrogen to some 1,600 vehicles per day, which means a reduction in CO2 emissions estimated at 50,000 metric tons per year.
