Starbucks: reusable cup program extended

(CercleFinance.com) - Starbucks announced on Wednesday that it would henceforth allow all its customers in the United States and Canada to bring and use their own cups, whether on the premises or for takeaway.

The coffee chain, which has set itself the target of reducing waste by 50% by 2030, says the decision follows a pilot test carried out on 200 'drives' in Colorado last spring.

Starbucks is offering a ten-cent discount on drinks to anyone who brings their own reusable cup, as well as 25 points on their loyalty card.

The group has also announced the launch of a new drink recipe for this winter, the Iced Hazelnut Oatmilk Shaken Espresso, a coffee shake made with oat milk and hazelnut syrup.

The chain also plans to relaunch the Pistachio Cream Cold Brew and the Pistachio Latte, two preparations made from pistachio cream.

Starbucks has also added new potato, cheddar and chive bites to its winter menu, as well as a Danish-inspired pastry with vanilla custard.
