Starbucks: Q3 EPS above expectations

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday night Starbucks reported Q3 2018-19 adjusted (non-GAAP) EPS that is up 26% at 78 cents, beating the consensus by six cents.


The Seattle-based coffee chain's sales rose by 8% to 6.8 billion dollars, including 6% growth at constant stores, with the average receipt increasing 4% in the US and 3% in China.

The group opened 442 net new cafés over the period, bringing its network to 30,626 outlets at the end of June, up 7% year-on-year. One third of openings were in China and 48% in other international markets.
