Sears: Q3 loss much higher.
(CercleFinance.com) - Sears Holding had a difficult Q3, more than ever in the red, even though this was not as bad as expected.
The group announced a loss of 748 million over the period, against -454 million at the same time last year, representing a 6.99 dollar loss per share.
Excluding extraordinary items, however, the loss per share was "only" 3.11 dollars. In particular, economists were expecting a higher loss of 4.06 dollars per share.
Sales also fell less than expected to 5.03 billion dollars (-12.5%), while the consensus was expecting 4.95 billion dollars.
