GE: contract for 150 MW power plant in Ireland

(CercleFinance.com) - Today GE announced that GE Vernova's Gas Power business has been awarded a contract to build temporary generation capacity at SSE's Tarbert site in County Kerry, Ireland.


It has an expected generating capacity of 150 MW, powered by three GE Vernova aeroderivative gas turbines.

With this new project, GE Vernova will supply over 1.1 gigawatts (GW) of standby power in Europe.

For this turnkey project, GE Vernova will not only build, but also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the single-cycle power plant.
