Altria: dividend up 4%

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday Altria announced that its Board of Directors has decided to increase its quarterly dividend by 4.
3% to $0.98 per share, with payment on 10 October to shareholders on record on 15 September.

This increase is in line with the group's new target established at its 2023 Investor Day, which aims for mid single-digit annual growth in its dividend per share, the tobacco group said.

The increase, which is the 58th in the last 54 years, brings the group's annualised dividend rate to $3.92 per share, representing a dividend yield of 9.1% based on the closing share price on 23 August.
