Unilever: H1 EPS up almost 4%

(CercleFinance.com) - Unilever today reports underlying EPS that is up 3.
9% at E1.39 for H1 2023, along with underlying operating profit that is up 3.3% to E5.2bn, with a corresponding 10-bp improvement in its margin to 17.1%.

Sales for the consumer staples group rose by 2.7% to E30.4bn, while underlying growth reached 9.1%, driven by all business groups, including a 9.4% rise in prices and a volume effect of -0.2%.

The Anglo-Dutch group expects FY underlying sales growth to exceed 5%, above its multi-year guidance range, with a slight improvement in its underlying operating margin.
