Getlink: truck traffic down 14% in October

(CercleFinance.com) - Getlink announces that in October 2021, Le Shuttle Freight carried 122,250 trucks, down 14% year-on-year, impacted by an unfavourable comparison basis relating to stockpiling ahead of Brexit at the same time in 2020.


However, over the same period, Le Shuttle carried 136,109 passenger cars, up 47% on October 2020, driven by less stringent travel restrictions than in October 2020.

Since 1 January 2021, Shuttle Freight has transported more than 1.1 million trucks and Le Shuttle about 768,000 passenger cars, down 6% and 40% respectively compared to the first ten months of 2020.
