Eurotunnel: truck traffic up 10% in January

(CercleFinance.com) - Groupe Eurotunnel has announced that its truck shuttles have set a new record for the month of January, with 144,272 trucks transported, up 10% compared to the same month in 2017, benefiting from a favourable comparison basis.


However, for the first time in history, the Le Shuttle freight service transported over 7,000 trucks on 25 January in one day, the operator of the Channel Tunnel announced in its monthly update.

However, for January 2018 Eurotunnel announced fairly unchanged passenger traffic, with 152,068 vehicles transported, penalised by poor weather conditions for tourism.
