Amundi: about to merge with Victory Capital

(CercleFinance.com) - Amundi has signed a memorandum of understanding to merge its US operations with Victory Capital, in exchange for a 26.
1% stake in the latter and reciprocal 15-year international distribution agreements.

According to Amundi, the merger would create a larger US investment platform to serve the clients of both companies, providing them with more dollar-denominated management expertise.

Both parties are working towards a definitive agreement, which is expected to be announced by the end of Q2. Final completion of a transaction remains subject to certain conditions, including regulatory approvals.
