Iliad: takes stake in Tele2

(CercleFinance.com) - iliad announces that Freya, an investment vehicle jointly owned with NJJ Holding, has entered into an agreement with Kinnevik to acquire in cash approximately 19.
8% of the share capital of Tele2, for approximately 13bn SEK (about E1.16bn).

The transaction has been divided into three tranches, the last of which is expected to be completed by Q3 2024. Once approved by the authorities, Freya will become the reference shareholder of this operator, which is present in Sweden and the Baltic States.

It says that this acquisition offers iliad an opportunity to accompany Tele2 in its growth and to work closely together on innovation, convergence and investment in next-generation networks.
