Bolloré: Group net income crumbles to E268m in 2023

(CercleFinance.com) - The group has announced sales of E13,679m in 2023, down 5% LFL: on a reported basis, sales were flat.


Bolloré Energy posted sales of E2,788m, down 24%, mainly impacted by lower oil product prices and volumes. The Communications division (Vivendi) posted sales of E10,506m, up 3%, mainly due to growth at Havas (+4%) and Canal+ Group (+3%).

EBITA came to E994m, down -6% LFL.

Consolidated net income came to E566m, well below E2,724m in 2022. Although note that the 2022 figure included the capital gain on the sale of Bolloré Africa Logistics (E3,150m), and at Vivendi the deconsolidation of Telecom Italia (-1,494 million euros) and the capital gain on the contribution of the stake in Banijay Holdings Group to FL Entertainment (E515m).

Net income, group share came to E268m, compared with E3,400m in 2022.
