Air France-KLM: Benjamin Smith to take charge?

(CercleFinance.com) - According to information from Le Monde, Air Canada's current Chief Operating Officer, Benjamin Smith, is expected to take charge of Air France-KLM.

The newspaper says that it has obtained this information from a number of sources, including the National Union of Airline Pilots (SNPL).

The group's nomination committee of its Board of Directors would like to appoint Benjamin Smith as its CEO. Group governance would also be carried out by a non-executive chairman, a position that is currently held on an interim basis by Anne-Marie Couderc.

Air France-KLM's Board of Directors will make the final decision.
