Siemens Gamesa: expands Hull site in UK

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa has announced the doubling of the size of its offshore wind turbine blade manufacturing facility in Hull, North East England.


The planned 41,600m² expansion represents an investment of 186 million pounds and is due to be completed in 2023.

For the record, at its quarterly results presentation Siemens Gamesa said that it had an offshore wind energy order book of 9.4 billion euros.

The company said that the manufacturing of wind turbine blades will continue during the expansion works.
