Siemens Gamesa: sponsors women's regatta crew

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa is supporting women's sport by sponsoring a regatta crew.


The group today presented Getxo's women's sailing team in the Bizkaia region, where the company has its headquarters.

Under the motto "The Power of Diversity", the six team-mates will participate in the three most important championships of the J80 One-Design category: the Spanish championship (Santander, 13-16 June), the world championship (Bilbao, 13-22 July) and the Spanish Cup (La Coruña, 11-13 October).

María Cortina, Director of Communication, Institutional Relations and Sustainable Development at Siemens Gamesa, said, that as for sailors, wind is the driving force of our society. All these sectors rely on wind, an inexhaustible source of clean energy.
