ProSiebenSat1: EU clears acquisition by MFE

(CercleFinance.com) - Under EU merger regulations the European Commission has cleared the acquisition of sole control of ProSiebenSat.
1 Media (P7S1) of Germany by MFE-MEDIAFOREUROPE (MFE) of the Netherlands.

The transaction mainly concerns the media and broadcasting sectors, as well as the offline and online advertising markets.

The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition issues, given the limited market positions of the companies resulting from the proposed transaction.

The notified transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
