Swiss Life: acquires stake in Equans

(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss Life Asset Managers has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in the UK district heating and cooling network Equans, in consortium with Schroders Greencoat.


Swiss Life says that this acquisition is perfectly in line with the infrastructure investment strategy of the funds involved.

The portfolio is operational and includes 12 district heating and cooling networks, serving residential, commercial, public and retail customers, making it the UK's largest district heating company with a capacity of 432MW, 117MW cooling and 67MW electricity.

Swiss Life Asset Managers is thus further diversifying its portfolio with this additional investment in energy services.
