Swiss Re: partnership in parametric insurance

(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss Re announced on Tuesday that it plans to expand the use of Storm, a parametric insurance solution dedicated to storm coverage.


The Swiss reinsurer explains that it intends to increasingly use this solution that has been designed by Reask, a tropical cyclone risk analysis company, for the payment of its compensation.

The company says that it plans to leverage Storm's advanced technological data, which measures wind speed, to provide tropical cyclone coverage to businesses and public entities that are at risk.
