Ackermans: record earnings in 2019

(CercleFinance.com) - The Ackermans & van Haaren share is down over 1.
5% in Brussels at lunchtime on Friday, even after the group announced record FY 2019 earnings of 394.9 million euros, up over 36%, amongst other things, thanks to a significant capital gain made on the sale of Residalya.

The Belgian conglomerate thus achieved RoE of 11.3% for the past year. It will propose a 7.8% increase in its dividend to 2.50 euros per shar at its AGM.

"With a net cash position of 267 million euros at year-end 2019,
we have both the ambition and the financial means to remain entrepreneurial in 2020,” said Jan Suykens, chairman of its executive committee.
