JPMorgan Chase: Q3 EPS up 39%

(CercleFinance.com) - JPMorgan Chase has reported Q3 2023 net income that is up 35% to $13.
15bn, or $4.33 per share (+39% y-o-y), helped by a 10% decline in credit loss provisions to $1.38bn.

This improvement in the New York-based bank's results also reflects a 21% increase in revenues, to nearly $40.7bn, boosted by the acquisition of First Republic, without which revenues would have risen by 15%, in particular thanks to higher interest rates.

A persistently tight labor market, very high public debt and record peacetime budget deficits increase the risk that inflation will remain high and interest rates will rise further, management said.
