Amoéba: CEO departure, industrial project postponed

(CercleFinance.com) - Amoéba's share price is down 3% on Monday, following the announcement of the departure of its CEO and the postponement of the implementation of its industrial project.

The biotech company, which specializes in the treatment of microbiological risk, announced on Friday that it had decided to separate the mandates of Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO, which will lead to the termination of Fabrice Plasson's functions.

The position of CEO has been entrusted to Jean-François Doucet, previously Deputy CEO, but Fabrice Plasson is expected to continue his commitment to the company he founded 13 years ago.

In particular, he will be responsible for supporting Amoéba's development as a founding director, and will be involved in the company's strategic vision as a member of the Board.

According to Amoéba, these decisions are the result of the evolution of its strategic partnership with its reference shareholder, the Swiss Nice & Green, which currently holds 29.4% of the capital and has thus undertaken to continue financing Amoéba's current activities until the entry of new investors.

Pending new financing, Amoéba says it has decided to postpone work on its 'Usibiam' industrial project in Cavaillon, a postponement which in no way affects the pursuit of current commercial initiatives.
