Whirlpool: reduces EPS target for 2022

(CercleFinance.com) - On announcing its quarterly reports on Monday evening, Whirlpool reduced its annual adjusted EPS target range to 22 to 24 dollars (compared to 24 to 26 dollars previously), for revenues that it expects will fall by around 6% to 20.

In Q2 2022, the household appliance manufacturer's adjusted EPS fell by 10% to 5.97 dollars, while its adjusted operating profit contracted almost a quarter (-24%) to 461 million dollars.

At 5.1 billion dollars, its revenues decreased by 4.3% (-2.3% excluding currency effects), affected by supply chain disruptions and slowing demand, albeit factors that are partially offset by a favourable price/product mix effect.
