Walgreens Boots: appoints new CEO

(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday evening Walgreens Boots Alliance announced the appointment of Tim Wentworth as CEO, effective as of 23 October.


He will also join the drugstore chain's Board of Directors when taking up his new position.

Most recently, Tim Wentworth was founder and CEO of Evernorth, Cigna's healthcare services organization that works in partnership with health plans, employers and government organizations.

Before joining Cigna, he served as CEO of Express Scripts, the largest pharmacy benefit manager in the US, following its merger with Medco Health Solutions in April 2012.
