UnitedHealth: agreement to acquire Change Healthcare

(CercleFinance.com) - UnitedHealth Group announces an agreement to merge its subsidiary Optum with Change Healthcare, a health technology company, by acquiring it at a cash price of 25.
75 dollars per share.

"Their combined capabilities will more effectively connect and simplify core clinical, administrative and payment processes - resulting in better health outcomes and experiences for everyone, at lower cost," it said.

The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2021, subject to Change Healthcare shareholder approval, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. The transaction is expected to have a positive impact of 50 cents on adjusted EPS in 2022.
