Time Warner: 'Dunkirk' takings exceed 500 million dollars.

(CercleFinance.com) - Christopher Nolan's war movie "Dunkirk" worldwide box office takings have exceeded 500 million dollars, Warner Bros said, with the film one of the biggest hits over a dull summer season for the cinema.


The movie shot to the top of box office ranks as soon as July, with takings of over 50 million dollars on its opening weekend.

In comparison, the film's budget is estimated at around 100 million dollars.

"Dunkirk" is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, Time Warner's movie division.
