Snap: misses consensus in Q2.

(CercleFinance.com) - Snap's Q2 results were disappointing from all angles, with the group seeing its net loss deepen y-o-y.


The group lamented a loss per share of 36 cents over the period, compared with a previous loss of 14 cents a year earlier and while the consensus anticipated a lower loss of 30 cents.

Despite strong growth, sales also disappointed, falling short of expectations at 181.7 million dollars, compared with 71.8 million dollars over April-June 2016 and the consensus of 186.2 million dollars.

The number of daily active users increased to 173 million and revenue per user reached 1.05 dollar, compared with respectively 174.6 million user and 1.07 dollar expected by the market.
