Qualcomm: signs patent agreement with Vietnam's VinSmart

(CercleFinance.com) - US mobile chipmaker Qualcomm said that it has reached a patent-licensing agreement with Vietnam-based smartphone maker VinSmart, covering multi-mode terminal technology.


The companies did not disclose financial terms of this deal. But Qualcomm said that it has granted VinSmart a royalty-bearing patent license to develop and sell 4G/5G smartphones, consistent with the terms of the licensing framework that it presented last year.
