Pfizer: first US participants injected in Covid trial

(CercleFinance.com) - Pfizer said that the first US participants have been injected as part of the clinical trial for its vaccine candidate against Covid-19.


The Phase 1/2 trial in the US will enroll up to 360 people into two age groups - 18-55 and 65-85 years, at sites including NYU Grossman School of Medicine and the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

The trial is part of Pfizer's vaccine program with BioNTech, for which the dosing of the first cohort in Germany was completed last week.
