PepsiCo: buys Hormel Foods' sports nutrition business

(CercleFinance.com) - PepsiCo has entered into a definitive agreement to buy Hormel Foods' sports nutrition business for an undisclosed amount, the US soft drinks giant said on Tuesday.


PepsiCo said that it has been a long-standing distribution partner for the business, which includes premium CytoSport protein products and Muscle Milk shakes.

This puts the company in a strong position to grow the business, it added.

The deal is expected to be completed in 30 to 60 days, Pepsi said.
