Microsoft: Q2 net income up a third
(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday evening Microsoft unveiled Q2 2020-21 net income that is up 33% at 15.
5 billion dollars, meaning EPS of 2.03 dollars, significantly above the consensus.
The IT giant from Redmond (Washington State) posted a 17% increase in revenues to almost 43.1 billion dollars, still driven by vigorous demand for the commercial cloud, where revenues rose 34% to 16.7 billion dollars.
Microsoft added that over this quarter it distributed ten billion dollars to its shareholders, in the form of dividends and share buybacks, up 18% y-o-y.
