McDonald's: to offer healthier 'Happy Meals'

(CercleFinance.com) - McDonald's said on Tuesday that by 2022 it will make improvements in its food, offering more balanced "Happy Meals" across 120 countries.


With the new menu, calories will be reduced by an average of 20%, while added sugars will be halved, and saturated fat cut by 13%, depending on the customer's meal selection, the fast-food chain said.

Since 2013, McDonald's has been working with non-profit organizations to increase customers' access to fruit, vegetables, low-fat dairy and water, the company said.
