Eli Lilly: launches lower-priced insulin
(CercleFinance.com) - US drugmaker Eli Lilly said on Wednesday that it has launched its lower-priced insulin, which has a 50% lower list price than its identical medicine, Humalog.
The lower-cost option - which is available in both a vial and a pen - is aimed at Medicare beneficiaries, people with high-deductible health plans and the uninsured who use Humalog.
Lilly's cut-price insulin has a list price of 137 dollars per vial and 265 dollars for a package of five pens.
