Home Depot: Q4 EPS down 14%

(CercleFinance.com) - Home Depot reports Q4 2023 net income of $2.
8bn, or $2.82 per share, i.e. EPS down 14.5% on sales that fell 2.9% to $34.8bn (-3.5% LFL).

After three years of exceptional growth for our group, 2023 was a year of moderation, CEO Ted Decker said. During the year, we focused on a number of initiatives aimed at strengthening the business.

The home improvement chain reports that its Board of Directors has approved a 7.7% increase in its quarterly dividend to $2.25 per share, to be paid in March.

With FY EPS of $15.11 and sales of $152.7bn, for FY 2023, Home Depot expects both to grow by around 1% (including a 53rd week).
