USA: crude inventories up, gasoline down

(CercleFinance.com) - Crude oil inventories rose last week in the United States, unlike gasoline and distillate reserves, the U.
S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced on Wednesday.

Crude inventories rose by 2.7 million barrels to 460 million units at the end of the week to April 12, the agency said in a press release.

Gasoline inventories fell by 1.2 million barrels, while supplies of distillates, such as heating oil, dropped by 2.8 million barrels.

Refinery capacity utilization stood at 88.1%.

Following this publication, US light crude reduced its decline slightly, losing just 1% to $84.6.
