Comcast: considers bid for Fox's assets

(CercleFinance.com) - Comcast said that it is considering making a bid for the assets that 21st Century Fox has agreed to sell to Disney, a bid that would be fully in cash and at a premium compared to Disney's offer.


The structure and terms of any Comcast offer would be at least as favorable to Fox shareholders as the Disney offer, said the cable-operator that owns the NBC Universal group.

Although no final decision has been made, Comcast says that the work of financing a bid that is completely in cash and the key regulatory files are "well advanced" at this stage.
