Chevron: to spend 10 billion dollars to cut carbon emissions

(CercleFinance.com) - Chevron sets out its intention to invest more than 10 billion dollars from now until 2028, more than tripling its previous forecast of three billion, to develop its lower carbon emission activity.


Horizon 2030, the energy group plans to increase its renewable fuel production capacity to 100,000 barrels a day, as well as to increase its hydrogen production to 150,000 tonnes per year.

At an average price of Brent of 60 dollars a barrel, Chevron confirms its objective to achieve a two-figure return on capital horizon 2025, as well as over the next five years to generate 25 billion dollars in cash flow.
