Amazon: buys Wifi system maker in smart home move

com has agreed to buy home wifi system maker eero, the companies said on Tuesday, in a continued bet on smart homes.

Amazon and eero today announced that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement under which Amazon will acquire eero (for an undisclosed amount).

eero makes home WiFi systems that can be set up in minutes and cover every room of a customer's home with a high-performing WiFi connection.
