AT&T: Warner's 'The Nun' still terrorizing box office

' horror thriller "The Nun" has passed the 300 million dollar threshold for takings at the global box office, the studio said yesterday.

Through Tuesday, the film has taken in an estimated 102.4 million dollars domestically, to which takings of 199.7 million dollars outside the US should be added, with the movie number one at the international box office for three consecutive weekends.

This means a total of 302.1 million dollars and still counting, with the film continuing to generate strong returns on Hispanic markets, helped by the popularity of the Mexican movie star Demian Bichir.

In all, the combined takings of the "Conjuring" franchise - on which "The Nun" is based — now stands at over 1.5 billion dollars, making it the top-grossing horror franchise in cinema history.
