Equinor: offshore wind farm extensions under consideration

(CercleFinance.com) - Equinor last night announced that it had applied to The Planning Inspectorate to develop SEP and DEP, extensions to the Sheringham Shoal and Dudgeon offshore wind farms, both off the north Norfolk coast, which would supply the equivalent of an additional 785,000 UK homes.


The Planning Inspectorate has agreed to a review of the case.

If SEP and DEP are built, the projects will support over 1,800 full-time equivalent (FTE) jobs per year across the UK during the construction phase.

In addition, SEP and DEP would create more than 340 million pounds of direct gross value added (GVA) over the construction period, Equinor says.
