Philips Lighting: share buyback program starts today.
(CercleFinance.com) - Philips Lighting today announced the start of a program to repurchase up to 1.
05 million of its own shares, representing a total value of approximately 32 million euros.
The Dutch lighting maker plans to use the shares to cover obligations arising from its long-term incentive performance share plan and other employee share plans.
The program, starting today, is set to be completed within the next three months.
The 1.05 million shares intended to be bought represent approximately 0.7% of the company's issued share capital.
