Altice: new programme to repurchase shares.

(CercleFinance.com) - The European telecoms group Altice said on Monday that it is launching a new share repurchase programme after the existing program announced in late August has been suspended.


The new program to repurchase shares will commence today and will continue until 2 November the firm said.

Altice intends to purchase Altice common shares A and common shares B on Euronext Amsterdam for an aggregate value of up to one billion euros, taking into account the shares already purchased under the existing program.

Altice plans to use the shares to meet obligations arising from share option plans and to reduce its share capital.

On 3 November the company will resume its discretionary share repurchase activity.
