Philips: buys 3D cardiac mapping company
(CercleFinance.com) - Philips will acquire 3D anatomical company EPD Solutions for an upfront cash consideration of 250 million euros, plus deferred, milestone-dependent payments, the Dutch health technology group said on Tuesday.
An innovator in image-guided procedures for rhythm disorders, EPD makes cardiac imaging and navigation systems that help electro-physiologists navigate the heart by generating detailed 3D images.
The transaction is expected to be completed in July.
