SES: FY earnings boosted by capital gain.
(CercleFinance.com) - SES Global has reported 2016 net attributable profit of 962.
7 million euros (vs. 544.9 million euros in 2015), including a capital gain of 495.2 million euros made on asset disposals.
Operating income before this capital gain decreased by 8.3% to 820.3 million euros, while EBITDA was down 2.9% at 1,451.5 million euros.
At 2,068.8 million euros, sales rose by 2.7% (+2.4% at constant exchange rates).
SES estimates that its EBITDA margin should stabilise overall in 2017 and 2018, to increase slightly thereafter, while its operating margin should increase significantly to over 40% in the medium term.
