BT: third-quarter results 'broadly in line' - shares fall

(CercleFinance.com) - The British telecom company BT said on Friday that third-quarter results were "broadly in line" with its expectations and that it remained confident for the full year.


Revenues in the quarter to 31 December 2017 were down 3% at 5.97 billion pounds, while pre-tax profit rose by 25% to 660 million pounds.

The group maintained its full-year outlook, although the guidance was overshadowed by the group's falling revenue, sending the shares of the former state-owned company down 4% to 246 pence.
