Air France-KLM: net loss widens in Q1

(CercleFinance.com) - Air France-KLM has reported a net loss of E480m for Q1 2024, E143m more than a year ago, with its operating margin declining 2.
5 points to -7.4%.

Air transport was affected by costs linked to operational disruptions and lower cargo revenues, while its total sales rose by 5.1% to E6.65bn, on capacity increased by 4.5% and traffic up by 5%.

For 2024, Air France-KLM forecasts that capacity in available seat-kilometres for the Group, including Transavia, will increase by 5%, and that its unit cost will rise by around 1% to 2% compared with last year.
