Alstom: maintenance contract for Sydney metro

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom announces that it has won a 15-year contract with Metro Trains Sydney (MTS) for the rolling stock and signaling maintenance of the Sydney Metro Northwest project, which is 36 km long.


This contract provides for the maintenance of 22 trains of six Metropolis carriages, Alstom's Urbano 400 CBTC signaling systems, the referral system, as well as the operation and maintenance of the depot and cleaning of the trains.

Over 50 full-time employees, including 5% apprentices, will maintain the system during the project's operational phase, which will use Alstom's HealthHub maintenance platform and is expected to be fully operational in the first half of 2019.
