Engie: large photovoltaic park in Romania with Saint-Gobain

(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain Romania and Engie Romania have signed a partnership agreement to build the largest photovoltaic park in the country.


The 140,000 m2 park includes over 15,000 solar panels. It is entirely dedicated to powering the industrial site in Călăraşi.

The energy park has a maximum capacity of 8.6 megawatts peak (MWp). This will produce up to 14,000 megawatt hours (MWh) each year, which is the average annual consumption of 1,500 homes.

This net zero energy will supply 20% of the needs of the Călăraşi glass manufacturing plant and reduce the site's carbon footprint by 2,400 tonnes per year.
