Vivendi: Oddo welcomes acquisition of M7 pay TV

(CercleFinance.com) - Vivendi has announced the acquisition of the Luxembourg based pay TV group M7 for 1 billion euros from the Astorg private equity fund.


This deal will enable it to strengthen its exposure to the European market, with a new presence in seven countries (the Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary and Romania), Oddo says.

This operation will also enable Canal+ to increase its critical mass in a context of growing competition on the pay-TV segment, and thus strengthen its business model over the LT, analysts add.

Oddo confirms its Neutral rating on the Vivendi share, with a target price of 26.2 euros.
