Casino: sells part of Assai's capital
(CercleFinance.com) - Casino has announced that it has started to sell part of its stake in Assaí for 140.
8 million common shares (including ADS) in order to accelerate its debt reduction. This sale represents 10.4% of Assaí's capital (shares are currently worth about 19.2 Brazilian reis, or 3.4 euros, i.e. a total of about 480 million euros). This number may be increased by up to 49.5 million common shares (including common shares represented by ADS) representing 3.7% of Assaí's share capital. The sale will take the form of a secondary offering, which is expected to be allocated on 29 November and settled on 2 December, depending on market conditions. Copyright (c) 2022 CercleFinance.com.
